This village, which is the center of Oramanat district in Kordestan Province of Iran, is built on the slope of Oraman peak. As the houses are constructed on top of one another, the roof of the lower house is used as a yard of the upper one.
Most of the locals of the region do farming and gardening for the presence of many pastures and green gardens. The Oraman people have their own local Kurdish clothes. They wear clothes decorated with ornaments and their own colors.
When you travel to Oraman, make sure to buy some of the best quality handicrafts of the region which include rugs, felt, silk and wooden dishes.
This village was recognized by UNESCO as part of the cultural landscape of oramanat and was registered on the World Heritage List of the agency.
